Our next Calm Seas Project event is coming up in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 6–8, 2026. We'll welcome eight military veterans for a weekend of fishing, camaraderie, and mental wellness.

The weekend is a chance to step away from everyday stress, reconnect with others who understand, and experience the therapeutic benefits of the water. More than that, it's about building a lasting support network, because the brotherhood continues long after the uniform comes off.

Why we do this

The Calm Seas Project was founded on the belief that sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen on the water. It began as an idea among friends on a fishing trip, and in its first four months the nonprofit raised more than $40,000 to support veterans and first responders.

For us, it's not simply about fishing. It's about bringing veterans and first responders back together and reminding them they're never alone.
